Joe Connell – HBCM HR & Information Management Specialist

Joe is a UK registered practitioner in the management of risk and an active business consultant operating commercially since 2006 following an extensive career in New Scotland Yard where he specialised in intelligence and counter terrorism.

As a consultant he has advised on strategic and tactical development of intelligence and the use of analysis in the UK and more widely in Europe; he has developed and delivered specialist training programmes; and, as a registered practitioner in both Programme and Project management he has managed, reviewed and audited major projects.

In the private sector Joe assists clients, both private and corporate, to understand the nature of the HR risks they face and to identify and implement the most appropriate management and mitigation measures. This has included the proactive investigation of internal and external threats and the development of policy and procedures to prevent harm occurring e.g. personnel screening, threat reduction, risk management.

Joe is an Ambassador for the London Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Association of Security Consultants. He is also a supporter of PREFIT which aims to raise awareness of threats from employees, contractors and other insiders.
